Tate Ferguson Hampton Memorial Scholarship

The family of Teresa Ferguson Doyle honors their beloved son, brother, nephew, and grandson with this scholarship, awarded to a full-time Butte College student with a minimum 2.0 GPA.

Tate was an exceptional person and athlete, dedicated to his studies, online gaming, family, and friends. Tate was diagnosed with a rare cancer at the age of 16. After graduating from PV High in 2021, he attended Butte College, majoring in biological sciences. His interest in this pathway grew during four years of cancer treatments, where he met talented, supportive doctors, nurses, techs, and hospital staff, inspiring him to pursue a career in medicine. Tate was a fighter and wanted to dedicate his life to helping others in their fight.
