Emmett H. Ashley/R.F. MacDonald Scholarship

This scholarship was created by the R.F. MacDonald Company to honor their former employee, Emmett H. Ashley. Emmett started his career with R.F. MacDonald Co. in 1983 as the 1st boilermaker/pressure vessel repair welder in the company and was instrumental in developing their quality control program. In 2001 he relocated to Fresno to assist with the development of apprentice boilermakers and in 2008 moved to the role of aftermarket sales specialist. This scholarship is dedicated to Emmett and his devotion to the company, his support of the industry, and his persistence in taking care of customers.

The scholarship will be awarded to a student who is enrolled in the Welding Technology program taking at least 12 units or more, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and will be receiving any form of financial aid.
